Why is this medication prescribed
The combination of fexofenadine and pseudoephedrine is used to relieve hay fever and allergy symptoms, including runny nose; sneezing; stuffy nose; itchy throat; and red, itchy, tearing eyes. Fexofenadine is in a class of medications called antihistamines. It works by blocking histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms. Pseudoephedrine is in a class of medications called decongestants. It works by drying up the nasal passages.

Keep all appointments with your doctor.
Do not let anyone else take your medication. Ask your pharmacist any questions you have about refilling your prescription.
In case of emergency overdose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.
Symptoms of overdose may include:
- dizziness
- drowsiness
- dry mouth
- giddiness
- headache
- upset stomach
- vomiting
- sweating
- thirst
- rapid or pounding heartbeat
- difficulty urinating
- muscle weakness
- nervousness
- difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep
- hearing voices or seeing things that do not exist (hallucinating)
- seizures
- coma
